What’s there to do?
In the Hertog Jan Zaal , you’ll immediately get into the swing of things with the spectacular dance performance by Eindhoven’s The Ruggeds and lose yourself in the magic of Aladdin the musical. Be amazed by a dance duet from Justin and Sem of DANSLAB 3 – Sally Dances, sing along with the hilarious ladies of Girls on Fire, and go wild with Pippi and the Pirates. There’s plenty to enjoy for music lovers, too: savor the sounds of *The Rediscovery of Heaven*. We’ll wrap af the previews in the main hall with a performance by The Diamond Baritones.
At the Philipszaal , a full-fledged cabaret lineup show is on the program this year. In fifty minutes, you’ll check five different comedians: Chris Verlaan, Pieter Verelst, Boban Braspenning, Johan Goossens, and Berit Companjen. Shows are at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
From local talent to opera
During the Open House , you’ll meet plenty of talented people from the region. The young talents from Theaterplan will give you a sneak peek at their new musical production, RENT. At Mies-en-scène, you’ll discover even more local talent during an audio performance and an exhibition.
In the Kameleon Hall , Wildpark will present a preview of its new production, *Anne, 11, Says Sorry After All*. You’ll also discover new talent from THINX and LaPiratesse, as well as a preview from the theater company Carte Blanche. You can also enjoy an intimate performance by Opera Zuid. At 4:30 p.m., there will be a special performance by the visually impaired dancer Issam. Also BIJ13, our restaurant, will be open. There, you’ll encounter The Dining Opera performing an aria from *Rigoletto*, this season’s production.
Get started outdoors!
You won’t be bored outside the theater on the lawn either. Screen-print a Parktheater bag or your own T-shirt with the Screen-Printing Brigade. Feel like some action? Jump on the Turbo Rope Tornado, the ultimate interactive and exhilarating carnival ride.
In *Coup Coup, Bye Bye*, you’ll experience a humorous physical spectacle in which the youngest audience members bravely take on the Marquis of Rochefort.
And in *Flexibel*, so to speak, you’ll experience a wild adventure with Jos and José. This dynamic duo on bikes sets up camp for the night, but then everything turns out differently than expected!
Plenty of fun for kids
Of course, there’s plenty for our youngest visitors to enjoy. Downstairs in the theater café, they can get their faces painted. Upstairs in the main foyer, you’ll run into the kids’ favorites, Woezel and Pip, and in the children’s lounge on the left, they can play to their hearts’ content. And of course, an Open House isn’t complete without a delicious ice cream or a serving of poffertjes.
Take a look behind the scenes
Curious about what goes on behind the scenes? Join us for a backstage tour and discover the theater from a different perspective. Tickets for the tour are available at the box office on the day of the event (while supplies last). We’ll also be on hand all day to tell you everything about the new theater season and answer all your questions. And be sure to pick up a fun Parktheater shopping bag while you’re here. Who knows—your bag might just contain a Golden Ticket! That will get you two free tickets to a performance of your choice.
