Darkride

Darkride takes the audience on an exciting journey full of wonder and imagination to the iconic music of the Efteling. Led by a mysterious magician, a motley crew of dancers and acrobats trek through worlds where nothing is what it seems. Escape the delusion of everyday life and af into an enchanting dimension: strange, yet familiar. A world where everything can change in an instant. Sometimes grotesque and dangerous, other times moving, poetic and dreamy. This exciting journey leads from darkness to light, past ever-changing scenes and emotions.

Composer René Merkelbach, known for the music for the attractions Raveleijn and Danse Macabre, arranged the music of the Efteling especially for this performance. Voice artist Luca Warmer adds extra color to the music with her unique sound and takes the audience by the hand on this fascinating journey. On play are the best dancers and acrobats in the Netherlands, brought together especially for this performance by choreographer Ed Wubbe.
