A poem for the world brings together three powerful dance pieces in which playfulness, emotion and musical intensity reinforce each other. Expect live music, refined movement and young dancers who dare to push boundaries. An evening full of surprising beauty and candid humanity.

This season's second NDT 2 program celebrates the playfulness and humanity of our dancers. Edward Clug takes us through Mutual Comfort (2015), in which dancers explore connection with each other amidst live music performed by Milko Lazar. Subtle humor, unexpected beauty and detailed movements reveal the essence of Clug's dance universe in just ten minutes.

From her poetic work Kunstkamer, Crystal Pite developed the quartet Four Solitudes (2019), in which love and loneliness meet. Inspired by Rilke and accompanied by Schubert's live piano music, Pite explores how individual loneliness and being together can reinforce each other, resulting in a virtuosic and moving dance experience.

Finally, Johan Inger presents a world premiere, a new work created with the NDT 2 dancers. Focusing on musicality, human relationships and emotional presence, the piece shows how listening, exchanging and dancing together can form movements that show who we are today.

  • With free introduction before the performance at 19.15h
