A seemingly foolproof plan goes awry during a night shift. Four friends get caught up in a nerve-wracking power game that forces them to face their dreams, fears and limits. Who will maintain control as morning draws ever closer?

Het uur van de waarheid is an exciting new Dutch play based on events that took place in Haaksbergen, Twente, in 2005. In addition to renowned actor Stefan de Walle, the best actors of the new generation shine: Daniël Kolf (Theo d'Or winner), Bilal El Aoumari (Golden Calf winner), Achraf Koutet and cabaret artist Donny Ronny (formerly Stefano Keizers).

Four friends who work together at a fast-food chain forge a daring plan during their night shift: a bank robbery. Because one of them is an intern at the bank, they have the keys and codes, so what could go wrong? More than imagined. Turns out the lock has past event replaced and the codes don't work at night. In an ultimate attempt to save their plan, they go to the bank manager's (Stefan de Walle) house to have him give them the correct codes. But even those turn out not to work until early morning. And so they stay. All night. What follows is an exciting psychological cat-and-mouse game in which it becomes increasingly unclear who is actually in control.

Het uur van de waarheid is a story about big dreams, opportunity inequality and the moment you decide to take a chance, whatever the consequences...
