This also applies to To do, a performance about love in times of control and the search for something to hold on to in a world that asks more and more of us. After all, life is often a long checklist. Is that a dystopian final picture, or a recognizable attempt to get a grip on an increasingly complex reality? In notebooks and digital notes we articulate our daily worries, deepest desires, greatest fears, cat calls, ambitious plans and things that cannot bear the light of day.

Theater-makers Nastaran Razawi Khorasani and Matijs Jansen write a long, candid to-do list with which they try to make sense of their lives, optimize their happiness, keep their relationships in balance, take care of the children as well as possible, reflect on the spirit of the times and not become alienated from the country they live in.
