For everyone who loves, and has ever lost someone. I af a conversation of three women, they were doing a writing workshop in a monastery. One of them was talking a lot, language was on her mind. She said "I'm going to do a dance workshop for people who lost their child." That was new information, I could hear from the silence that fell. The woman bravely broke the silence and told about the 6-year-old girl she lost. Then silence again. My heart broke in that silence. Why didn't anyone ask the girl's name? Or for her favorite hug? Why did no one give this mother the chance to bring her child to life for a moment in words?
I make this performance for her! And for everyone who knows about love or loss. I myself am a mother who once lost a small child. I made Love to comfort myself. For ten years, I've past event playing it once a year as a memorial to love and the people we miss. Time for part II. Because I found so many new examples of love, because we all walk around with tears longing to fall.

"Van Dolron is a force of nature and makes the world more beautiful with her loving gaze." ★★★★
About Laura van Dolron
Laura van Dolron created her own genre of stand-up philosophy. Together with the audience, she searches for what is beautiful and what could be better. She uses theater as a place to be sincere because she believes that in "real" life there is already enough pretending. Laura van Dolron comforts and confronts. She wants to make her audience laugh and think. She shows that vulnerability is a strength that is needed in this world.
