Zoom in

The Netflix hit“Baby Reindeer”is coming to Dutch theaters. In this story based on true events, comedian Richard Gadd paints an intimate and harrowing picture of the five years during which he was stalked. The tens of thousands of emails, hundreds of hours of voicemails, and numerous encounters tossed him back and forth between humiliation and longing, despair and suffocation. Gadd turned his experiences into a gripping one-man show and later starred in the Netflix series of the same name, one of the streaming service’s most-watched and highest-rated series ever. Now, comedian Thijs van de Meeberg takes on the role of Gadd. The raw, sharp, and humorous * solo * is being performed in the Netherlands for the first time.

Media Coverage of Baby Reindeer
"You meet someone who isn't good for you, think, 'I'll end it next week,' but that never happens. Discovering what that does to you as a person is truly fascinating."(AD)

About Richard Gadd
"I think it’s incredibly brave of Richard to have shared what he was feeling in this way. That he dared to write it down and that, in the end, it turned out to be a way to work through it by performing it." ( AD)

About Thijs van de Meeberg
"This is my first acting role; before this, I mainly did cabaret. The leap from cabaret to theater is quite a big one. Now that I can picture it, my main thought is: bring it on. I’m going to give it my all on that play." (AD)
