Wessels' multidisciplinary dance duet Fluid Figures and Tembuyser's post-porn pop concert Isle of Eros make a powerful plea against pigeonholing. In their own unique way, they explore the malleability of identity and fluidity of gender.
Fluid Figures is a physical and layered performance in which dance, sound and performance merge into a hybrid whole. From a queer, bi-cultural perspective, Lucinda Wessels goes on an inner quest for identity. The dancers embody different roles and perspectives, creating a dynamic in which contrast and connection are simultaneously palpable. Fluid Figures challenges the audience to let go of fixed boundaries and experience opposites as part of one whole.
Isle of Eros is an erotic concert about "the desire for oneness," where the desire to merge with the other collides with the desire to be a strongly shaped individual. After several performances centered on the singing community(Mementum, Missa Homo Sacer, Mystica, NOW WE ARE EARTH), Timo Tembuyser now sets himself as a soloist. A quirky Master of Ceremonies takes us into a post-porn pop concert. An ode to the wild man, to queerness, to sexuality and to love.

About Lucinda Wessels
Lucinda (1990) is a versatile artist who constantly renews herself and explores boundaries within the dance and art world. Her practice moves at the intersection of disciplines and identities, always searching for the space in between. In addition to her performances with Het Nationale Ballet, ISH and Nicole Beutler Projects, she previously made the performances I & Then (ICK Amsterdam) and SLEEEP DREEEAM WAKEEE (Oerol, Over het IJ, Nineties).
About Timo Tembuyser
Timo (1991) is a singer, performer, composer and theater maker. He combines his backgrounds in architecture, theater, music and community work and often works with various ensembles. Music and space are always central. Tembuyser composes polyphonic scores that weave the different voices together equally, in harmony and friction with each other, in resonance with the audience and with the space.
