Existential courage is the courage to be fully who you are. Visible without guarantees or protection, while the world watches and judges. In full glory and up front. This is a powerful place, but at the same time the most vulnerable. Anyone can check it. Anyone can make sense of it.
To occupy this place requires a balance between discipline, precision, inner peace and mastery. These values of bushidō form the dancers' inner compass. It supports the ability to shape the freedom and choices of one's own existence, even if this entails discomfort, uncertainty and fear.
The performance explores the field of tension between vulnerability and strength. What happens when you really show yourself, without armor, and yet remain standing?
