While the world rumbles on, Jean stiffens in a desperate attempt to leave everything as it is. In vain, of course: the future cares little for our planning.
This humorous performance combines the sounds of the past with the themes of today: conservatism, progress and our resistance to change. An absurdist and humorous trip about the tendency to want to understand everything before it happens. How long can you hold on to the familiar before the thrumming world eats you up with skin and hair?

About Schwung
Schwung (2023) is a young company with makers from different schools. A mix of drama, performance, design, directing, journalism and philosophy. There are a lot of them, which is actually quite unique these days. The seven-member collective was founded by Sam van Hulst and also consists of Luna Joosten, Reinout Bongers, Gina van Os Sánchez, David Roos, Noa van der Vorst and David Westera. The seven creators work in varying compositions.
