In Bloedhot & tranen, Flemish presenter and playwright Evi Hanssen explores with the necessary dose of humor how the transition, that wondrous phase in a woman's life, affects her body and mind. She tells about her struggles with herself and her environment, her transition from fiery sex bomb to confident graying lady and the hormonal chaos that turns her life and those around her upside down.
As in Since I don't drink anymore, Evi engages in a playful and personal conversation with the audience. . She shares her experiences about the changes in the female body and explains in a light but scientifically substantiated way how her hormones af go their own way.

This evening is all about celebrating the power of women. Whether you come with girlfriends, or male company (because they too are dealing with menopause!), this is the perfect opportunity to toast this special phase together.

Evi Hanssen is a versatile creator with a solid position in the Flemish and Dutch media landscape. She is active as a television and radio presenter, podcast maker, theater maker and actress. She is also a best-selling author of several books, including Sinds ik niet meer drink.

She was featured in the youth series #LikeMe, starred in the soap opera Lisa and was on play in the musical Mamma Mia. With her theater monologue Sinds ik niet meer drink she garnered much praise from press and audience. In Blood Hot & Tears she vigorously continues her honest, daring and socially relevant signature.
