What if an encounter is never af . Two players try out scenes, break them af and start again. Between play and reality, a performance emerges that continues as long as people watch.

In The Show Goes On, Romy and Thomas go in search of the perfect encounter scene. Two backpackers on a night train, two strangers among the detective books in the library, a job application in which words trip up nerves and doubt. Again and again, the question arises as to whether they actually manage to meet, or whether it will remain at an accidental crossroads.

They play a scene, a moment, stop, doubt and search continue. The Show Goes On is simultaneously the rehearsal for the performance and the performance itself. What feels unfinished is allowed to remain unfinished. What fails, gets a new attempt.
