400 years after Vondel, it seems that man completely neglects his duty of care for the world and his fellow man. With flaming words, new fire and ruthless questions, the angels once again take on God, morality and human failure.

In Vondel’s Angels , Sarah Moeremans and Joachim Robbrecht af into the slipperiest depths of hell. Let the rappelling begin—with the entire ensemble, helmets and headlamps in tow. From the hottest lava lakes, they fish out the rebellious angels from Vondel’s world-famous play *Lucifer*. Do you remember how they ended up there? Because they rebelled against God’s insane decision to elevate imperfect humans above them (you might say, “organize your own feedback,” but no). You’ll journey toward the gates of heaven as a reserve member of the fallen angels’ comeback tour. May Angels Intelligence save us.

About Het Zuidelijk Toneel
Het Zuidelijk Toneel is the company of the South and from its home town of Tilburg it tours throughout the Netherlands and Flanders. The smallest to largest play arenas are stormed by the permanent ensemble of six real playbills. These are roused rather than tamed by the company's first female artistic director Sarah Moeremans. Together with a colorful gang of house directors, Het Zuidelijk Toneel creates performances that excite you, move you, and recharge you with new energy.

Since December 2023, Sarah Moeremans has past event at the creative helm of Het Zuidelijk Toneeloneel as artistic director. Her work bursts with the joy of acting. With cheeky humor, stimulating language and brain chewing gum as a weapon, she sends the ensemble into the auditorium to challenge the audience. What is exciting about Sarah's work is that, together with writer and dramatist Joachim Robbrecht, she lovingly smashes the classical repertoire against the present day and provides it with the necessary satire and social criticism. This makes her work seductive and accessible to a wide audience.
