Gabriela Carrizo: The Missing Door
Set in an ominous, domestic space that slowly distorts, the boundaries between reality and illusion blur. Everyday actions transform into oppressive situations, where the emotional cracks in the personages take on ever-greater proportions. Carrizo shares: “The work depicts a no-man’s-land where reality and fantasy become increasingly intertwined. A place where the final minutes of a life are revealed, hovering between life and death.”

The performance features stylized conflict situations, surrealistic scenes, and a dark, intense atmosphere. Some scenes may be perceived as suspenseful or emotionally taxing, especially by younger or more sensitive audience members. The performance also includes a brief, intense light effect.

Hofesh Shechter: Tunnel Vision
Following the successful revival of the audience favorite *Clowns* (2016) in 2024, choreographer Hofesh Shechter returns to present a raw and daring world premiere. Shechter is known for works that reveal what lies dormant beneath the surface, both within ourselves and in the world around us. The friction between identity, the perception of our minds, and that of our bodies often serves as a common thread. In his new work for NDT 1, dreamlike scenes unfold alongside sudden flashes of reality, as the dancers push their physical limits. “Your mind is a flickering light that has forgotten its source, where thoughts collide and contradict one another,” says Shechter. Grand yet intimate, filled with intense physical devotion and pulsating music, this work promises to be a surreal journey that will completely sweep you away.
