De Verbouwing is an oppressive thriller based on the book by Saskia Noort. The story follows Mathilde, a successful plastic surgeon who seems to lead the perfect life together with her family. But behind this facade, everything is af.

As Mathilde opens her new private clinic, her home is in ruins due to a completely derailed renovation. Tensions mount, relationships become disrupted and control slips continue and continue out of her hands.

When Mathilde is forced to enlist the help of someone from her past, she finds herself in a dangerous game with no way out. Slowly but surely she becomes entangled in an oppressive web of lies, deception and betrayal.
