Today we are together to remember. Old acquaintances. Mixed feelings. Someone who can't stop crying. Another who laughs everything away. Wrong jokes at the wrong times. Speeches that are too long. Who loved the deceased the most. Who has the most right to mourn. People sometimes say, death connects. But grief can also separate.
A comedy with an edge of grief, which takes its title (but really only the title!) from the famous romcom Four Weddings and a Funeral. An evening of miscommunication, slapstick, inappropriate comments, old and new conflicts and hilariously awkward scenes. About the dead nothing but good? De Theatertroep and Magne van den Berg think otherwise.
The media about Apocalypse Soon
"A cheerful revue that turns out to be a piece of ideas." (de Volkskrant)
The media about Hotel Gouden Bergen
"Timing and rhythm are tightly packed, the humor is shamelessly grotesque and effective." (Het Parool)

About De Theatertroep
De Theatertroep is a collective of six theater actors that in recent years has focused on reintroducing and reinventing the Vaudeville form. Vaudeville, derived from voix de ville or "voice of the people," is an ongoing program of short topical performances in which various artistic disciplines come together. The group wants to offer an art experience that is accessible to everyone and that goes beyond a single performance, message or technical ingenuity.
