The gifted playwrights of Circus Treurdier are back with a deliciously silly musical about the divisive problem of intelligence. With primitive sing-alongs, unnecessarily complicated tunes and personages desperately trying to keep up. That Cauliflower (a difficult musical) is as sharp as it is manageable.

The not-so-smart student Barrie is struggling to keep up at university. His mother, neuroscientist Meredith Milius, does everything in her power to make her gullible son more intelligent. Because if you're not highly educated, you're better off dead, she thinks.

Meanwhile, the support staff feels chronically underappreciated. Led by cleaner Freddy, they af why academics earn more. When Freddy's daughter Tanya falls in love with Barrie, everything collides. Can love bridge the intellectual divide?

That Cauliflower (a difficult musical) is an absurd story about supposed intelligence and so-called stupidity. About the cauliflower in our upper chamber and the brick in our underbelly. A pretty manageable musical with unnecessarily complicated tunes and primitive sing-alongs. For brainiacs and school leavers.
