In DANSLAB 3 exciting choreographies follow each other in rapid succession. A fresh and adventurous performance in which experimentation, innovation and new perspectives in contemporary dance come together. Visitors get an exclusive first look at the work of up-and-coming talent from the Southern Netherlands.

DANSLAB 3 offers the ultimate opportunity to get to know the latest generation of creators in contemporary dance. Exciting choreographies follow one another at a breakneck pace in this brand-new performance. From the stunning dance of Sellam El Achari and the poignant work of Anne Suurendonk to the brotherly collaboration of Justin de Jager & Sem Deliveyne, and work by Thibault Desaules. Before their work takes the play, the creators introduce themselves and their work—on video—to you.

DANSLAB is an initiative of SALLY and talent developer Via Zuid. It is the play for experimentation and innovation in contemporary dance in the Southern Netherlands. New makers are given room in the 'lab' to experiment with dance styles, modern interpretations, challenging themes and unexpected combinations. They present the results of this adventurous, exciting research in a grand finale in the theater. Visitors to DANSLAB are therefore the first to check the latest choreographies by new, up-and-coming talent.

Today’s Top Talent
DANSLAB 3 presents four creators, each of whom occupies a unique position within the Dutch dance scene. The young dancer/choreographer Sellam El Achari (FR) made a strong impression during DANSLAB 2 with his solo *Memories* and was nominated in 2023 for a Jonge Zwaan award for most impressive dance performance in youth dance. The duo Justin de Jager (NL) and Sem Deliveyne (BE) won the SALLY Partner Award at the 2025 Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition (RIDCC) for their performance Brothers*. The two are creating a brand-new piece especially for DANSLAB 3. Anne Suurendonk (NL) is also a standout creator. She won the Innovation Prize at the 2024 Dutch Dance Days in Maastricht for her work, which explores what connects people and powerfully brings emotions to life. Finally, you’ll check work by Thibault Desaules (CH).

THE HALL UPSIDE DOWN
The audience is also part of DANSLAB. Each performance af with the interactive "choreography experiment," which challenges the audience to create a choreography together. You are given the necessary ingredients beforehand; then it's your turn! DANSLAB 3 thus sets everyone in motion and the audience upside down.

TOPTALENT VAN NU
DANSLAB3 presents five makers, each of whom occupy a unique position within the Dutch dance field.
