Experience a multivocal theater piece that brings to life the inner world of a young adult with suicidal thoughts. Multiple actors together depict the thoughts, emotions and conflicts of one person, creating a layered mental landscape in which voices complement, contradict and question each other.
The performance weaves play, music, poetry and silence into a vulnerable yet accessible theatrical experience. Despite the heaviness of the theme, ADEM remains fris and light, with room for recognizability and humor. It is precisely this balance that allows it to get close without being overwhelming.
ADEM is not just a story about suicide; it is an invitation to look differently at yourself and the people around you. The play does not judge, but connects and creates a safe space for recognition, conversation and hope.
With ADEM we want to break the silence about suicide. The performance originates from the personal experience of the writer, who himself has struggled with suicidal thoughts. That vulnerability is at the core: not to shock, but to connect. We find that many young people feel alone in their struggle, and ADEM shows that they are not the only ones. By using theater as a safe space for recognition, conversation and hope, we want to contribute to awareness and prevention.
This story needs to be told, especially now, because silence about suicide still prevails and the conversation is urgently needed.
