In a remote desert town, a small robbery gets completely out of hand. A Fine Messis a visually spectacular action comedy full of slapstick, live music and special effects, in which nothing goes as planned.

A young woman, her brother and their mother struggle daily to keep their heads above water. Their mother is ill, bills are piling up and creditors and collection agencies are taking af their already meager possessions. In their desperation, they decide to rob a gas station. What begins as a small grab from the cash register soon degenerates into a chain reaction of absurd situations.

In the midst of this chaos, our heroes come face to face with a corrupt sheriff, who seems primarily interested in her own gain. As the situation escalates into a whirlwind game of guns and betrayal, they discover that even the most hopeless situation can have an unexpected twist.

And then there's a mysterious cowboy with a guitar, singing the events together.

Following the success of Knock-Out (2021), Jakop Ahlbom Company and ISH Dance Collective join forces once again for an explosive collaboration. Get ready for a visually spectacular action comedy full of music, slapstick and special effects. For A Fine Mess, Jakop Ahlbom and Marco Gerris base themselves on films by Tarantino, the Coen Brothers and the iconic action films of the 1980s, such as Lethal Weapon and Die Hard, among others.
