Urban Dance Days 2026
Urban Dansdagen is the festival where breaking, hip hop freestyle, popping, locking, waacking and experimental dance come together. Not as separate worlds, but as one movement. Watch, participate and enjoy. Whether you are a dancer, maker, curator or just curious, there is room for everyone.
Spread across the Grote Foyer, Hertog Jan, Kameleon and Philipszaal , there will be performances, battles, jams and theater performances. In between you can stroll through the culture market, immerse yourself in workshops and end the evening at an after party.

Why do we organize this festival
The Parktheater has past event a regular partner of the Urban Dance Days for eight years. As Parktheater we find it very important to give urban dance a place in the theater. In this festival, all dance styles within the urban genre melt together. The Eindhoven foundation Sample Culture is the main organizer of the festival. The Sample Culture foundation is a non-profit organization that develops and innovates the artistic language of urban culture. The Sample Culture foundation organizes various festivals such as the Urban Dance Days and Open Your Mind. They also produce theater and teach classes.
About the culture
Urban Dansdagen invites you to step into a world of movement, connection and creativity. The street and club styles form a vibrant culture with an inspiring community. A culture of many styles: breaking, house dance, hip hop freestyle, experimental hip hop, electro dance, breaking and vogue are just a few examples. Dancers dance in productions, battles and jams, building communities across the country where they use their dance culture to inspire and connect. You'll find them in clubs, dance schools, theater and television, jamming in the streets and modeling on billboards.
Once a year all this is brought together during the Urban Dance Days in Eindhoven. Through exciting battles, performances and workshops, Urban Dansdagen breaks down barriers and inspires connection and celebration.
