Under the artistic direction of Yusaku Mochizuki is YOAH was born out of a moment of reflection. Yusaku Mochizuki draws his inspiration from legendary Japanese monuments, such as the Ōsawa Pond (大沢池) and the Daikaku-ji Temple (大覚寺) in Kyoto. The moon, which plays an important role in Japanese culture, represents renewal and hope. Every act in the show revolves around this theme. Contortionists, trapeze artists, diabolists and a host of other performers take you to a timeless Japanese realm surrounded by the enchanting and mystical universe of YOAH.
YOAH delivers an unparalleled fusion of Japanese tradition and modernity, merging Japanese drums, electro music, traditional dances and digital effects. This performance full of rhythm and poetry will delight audiences young and old.
