What do the songs of a Beatle and the life of a boy from the province have in common? Nothing. Except that while the songs were taking the radio by storm, the boy was living out his adventurous youth.

Yesterday, Penny Lane and Can't buy me love filled the airwaves in Kees Prins' youth, while Hope, Misery, Happiness and Sadness formed the soul of a growing up adolescent.

In YESTERDAY, he tells stories from his youth. No loose anecdotes, but real stories with a head and a tail, with humor as well as tragedy, with bravado as well as compassion. Each story has its own song. In this light-hearted and touching coming-of-age performance YESTERDAY, Kees Prins sings the songs of Paul McCartney, with the latter as 'fly on the wall'.
