Waiting for MARSHA

This is the beginning of the Stonewall riots, the moment when the queer community worldwide fought for equal rights. Now, more than fifty years later, queer rights are once again under pressure.

In Waiting for Marsha, a group of queer activists, led by Marvan wants to hijack World Pride 2026 to call attention to the increasing harassment and violence against queers. The pacifist Marvan feels the growing pressure from the group not to give in to what is coming af them. Their freedom must be protected at all costs. But how far should they go in this?

• Prior to the performance, the interactive discussion *De Roze Draad* will take place at NatLab, led by Lowie van Rooij and Aden Joah of Dynamo. Starting at 7:30 p.m., Lowie and Aden will engage in a discussion with the audience, using the content of the performance—which is connected to the queer community in Eindhoven—as a starting point to explore the issue of equal rights in the past, present, and future.
