Tumbler

Following the successful production Wiegeling, Frisse Oren is again developing a music performance for very young children. This time the starting point is the music of Taiwanese percussionist Yung Tuan Ku. Her compositions have their roots in Asia and travel lightly and playfully through memory and imagination. They excite and remind you of places you may never have past event to before, but which still feel familiar.

Tumbler is a sensitive and musical experience for babies and their parents and grandparents. In a soft and safe environment, Frisse Oren explores the world of gravity. Rolling, tumbling, rollerblading, tipping, tumbling and springing back again are at the heart of this performance. The audience is invited to watch, listen, sway and sometimes tumble along.

Three musicians meet each other and the audience: a percussionist, a clarinetist and a trumpet player. Together they create an intimate and at the same time open atmosphere, in which children can react, move and be amazed again.
