Rüdsichtslos

Following a life-changing RUDIVERSUM tour—which garnered five-star reviews, sold-out shows, and a Neerlands Hoop nomination—Smulders has once again won over audiences and critics alike with RÜDSICHTSLOS.

In RÜDSICHTSLOS, Ruud once again propels his lithe body across the play, firing his absurd thoughts into the audience with unprecedented speed and energy. Once again, the audience gets to check Ruud’s vulnerable, sincere side—a quiet, thoughtful young man who not only delivers a poignant life lesson but who, at times, also subtly takes your hand and draws you into his world of madness.

His previous show called on the audience to love those who cannot love themselves. In RÜDSICHTSLOS, Ruud poses a new question: How much do we actually love ourselves? And what happens when we dare to love ourselves more?

Ruud also adds an extra layer. Whereas he used to look inward, he now turns his sharp gaze toward the world around him. It’s a socially conscious voice we hadn’t heard from him before, but one that moves us all the more deeply.
