Chris Verlaan tells in his characteristically dry and disarming manner about the moments when life falters and the imagination runs wild. With sharp observations, unexpected turns and humor that gently chafes, he makes discomfort light and recognizable.

Cabaret artist Chris Verlaan conquered the hearts of many with his programs Man in the Making and De Kringloper . With his unique, autistic view of life and his witty humor, he takes the audience into his world. His stories are recognizable, surprising and offer a refreshing take on everyday reality. In his very own dry, cynical style, Chris brings a program full of anecdotes as only he can deliver.

Whenever something goes wrong in Chris' life, he always thinks of his mother's saying, "Oh well, there won't be any babies." And even though this is his life wisdom, he secretly has other plans. He happily struggles through the uncertain, single existence, but would actually like to pass something of himself on to the next generation. Pretty tough, when even looking at a woman's face is a challenge.

Loneliness carries no warning sign. For Chris, that loneliness is no great tragedy, but a faithful co-driver in his mind. She feeds his fantasies, fears and desire for connection. As the world races past him, he af: when do you really belong? And what if no one sees how hard you're actually trying?

With much discomfort and the necessary self-mockery, Chris shares the life lessons he has learned himself for now with his audience. Will he succeed in contributing to society in his unique way?
