With his rendition of the iconic song Let Me, Charl Delemarre blew away the jury of the popular TV show The Tribute: Battle of the Bands. His performance touched both audience and jury, who praised how close the band manages to get to Ramses Shaffy and Charl's strong personal expression.

In this performance Charl, together with his band, pays an impressive tribute to Ramses Shaffy, an artist who has left an indelible mark on Dutch musical history. Shaffy's songs, full of passion, zest for life and melancholy, continue to inspire generations to this day. Charl knows how to convey Shaffy's music in an impressive and integer way. Emotion, intensity and authenticity are central, with his deep connection to Shaffy's work palpable in every performance and adding a deep personal layer.

With his unique voice and intensely lived-in performance, Charl revives the soul of Shaffy's music. Iconic songs like Let Me, Sammy and Sing, Fight, Cry, Pray, Laugh, Work and Admire are performed in their own, honest and compelling way.

About Charl Delemarre
Charl Delemarre is a Dutch-language singer-songwriter who won the 'Grote Prijs van Nederland' with his personal songs. After his victory, he released the EP De Bekentenis , followed by the successful singles Zonder Jou and Lichtelijk Verlicht. He played more than thirty shows during the Popronde and performed at Eurosonic Noorderslag and Pinkpop. His second EP Charl, was produced by Antonie Broek (drummer De Dijk), after which he played as support act for De Dijk and Guus Meeuwis for a year. Charl performed several times on DWDD and Omroep Max.
