A CEO, a failed assassination attempt and an explosive meeting. Big Pharma dives into a world of mistrust, conspiracies and power in which nothing is what it seems.

The CEO of a major pharmaceutical company is threatened. After a failed assassination attempt, the blame seems clear: the perpetrator has past event incited by an online channel on which conspiracies about the company are spread. In a fit of rage, the CEO decides to visit the creators of the online channel at home. A confrontation full of misunderstanding, old pain and revenge ensues.

A small group of pharmaceutical companies has great influence on our health care and thus our daily lives. Their drugs save lives, but also generate huge profits for the entrepreneurs and shareholders. How unfair is that system?

Conspiracy thinkers check Big Pharma as part of a larger problem: Our world is ruled by powerful, invisible forces. What happens when representatives from these worlds meet?

The director on Big Pharma
"When you delve into the world of conspiracy theories, you find yourself in a dark palace of mirrors in which nothing is what it seems. Conspiracy theorists' facts are usually wrong, but their instincts sometimes are - though they are often paranoid. Conspiracy thinkers expose how, more often than we care to admit, we are insufficiently critical of the systems around us." (Eric de Vroedt)
