Parktheater Honey of the House

Did you know that bees have past event living on the roof of the Parktheater for quite some time? High above the city, between the roofs and surrounded by the greenery of nearby gardens and parks, the city bees collect nectar. In this way, the Parktheater Theater contributes in a special way to the preservation of the bee population and the promotion of biodiversity in Eindhoven.

And did you know that the care of these bees is in the hands of our Technique colleague Dorien. Indeed, in addition to her work behind the scenes of the theater, she is also a passionate beekeeper. Dorien diligently cares for the hives and slings the honey they collect herself.

The result? Pure, local honey with a unique flavor that varies by season—truly a product of nature. We use this honey in the kitchen at restaurant BIJ13, among other places, where you can come and taste it for yourself.

Taste nature. Taste the theater.
