Job Opening: Food and Beverage & Audience Services Associate

Parktheater Eindhoven is one of the larger theaters in the Netherlands and reaches about 200,000 visitors annually from Eindhoven and surroundings with a broad programming of about 400 performances per theater season. Parktheater aims to be a theater for everyone and therefore has a very diverse programming. We want to touch the audience and contribute to beautiful encounters between theater makers and the public. The Parktheater is at the center of society and is involved in and initiates various social projects.

The Team
The Food & Beverage & Audience Services team is part of the Food & Beverage, Audience Services & Events department and consists of a department manager, team managers, bar managers, and, of course, a large team of food and beverage staff and volunteers. To strengthen our catering team, we are looking for a Catering & Audience Services Associate. We don’t care what you believe in, who you love, or where you’re from. Profile
As a Food and Beverage & Audience Services Associate, you’ll be responsible for welcoming, guiding, and serving visitors during performances, events, and other activities. You’ll perform catering tasks such as setting up the bar, taking and serving orders, and preparing drinks and snacks. You’ll also handle cleanup and cleaning duties, prepare venues for events, and assist with training new colleagues. In addition, you’ll welcome guests, answer questions, provide information, and escort visitors to their seats if necessary. You may also be assigned to the coat check, where you’ll ensure the safe storage and return of personal belongings, or work as a salesperson for program books and/or merchandise. You’ll ensure compliance with the house rules and intervene when necessary. In the event of an emergency, you’ll act quickly and appropriately, prioritizing safety and hospitality.

What will you be doing?

  • You will perform various hospitality tasks
  • You will be responsible for setting up the bar
  • You’ll take orders and serve tables
  • You will prepare drinks and snacks
  • You will keep the bar, the furniture, and the associated areas clean and well-maintained
  • You will perform cleanup and cleaning tasks
  • You will also assist with the coat check
  • In addition, you’ll welcome guests, answer questions, provide information, and escort visitors to their seats if necessary.

  • A salary commensurate with the challenges of the position, age, and experience (scale 4), with a gross hourly wage of €15.12 for those 21 and older. If you are under 21, your gross wage will be based on your age
  • A zero-hour contract on an on-call basis
  • A 1-year on-call contract with the possibility of extension
