An empty suitcase travels through the Netherlands. Completely empty? The accordion it once contained is gone, but the music is left behind. Each melody evokes a different memory from the accordion's life.

With leftover material, inventive wood-rope mechanisms and music, theater producer and actress Ruta van Hoof brings the suitcase to life. Small worlds with playing dogs, dancing cassette tapes and surprised owls arise right before your eyes. In an instant, she makes you love a few pieces of wood or a rusty pan sponge. The Suitcase is enchanting, musical object theater in its most intimate form for children ages four and up.

Surrounded by her audience, Ruta investigates how a person connects emotionally to an object. With household and kitchen objects she creates imaginative worlds that invite free association and in which you can disappear for a moment completely. Het Koffertje is an accessible interactive performance about losing, missing and being found.
