Week of accessibility 2025

October 6 - 12 - Theatre for all

Accessibility is one of the most important pillars of our theaters. From October 6 to 12, 2025, we paid special attention to visitors for whom the threshold was just a bit higher and showed that small adjustments could make a big difference.

Accessible theater went beyond a wheelchair-friendly building or an elevator. It meant that everyone could actively participate and enjoy. Therefore, in cooperation with expert organizations, we put together a program in which various forms of support were offered, such as sign language interpreters, audio description, low-incentive performances and sound shirts.

The full program was put together in cooperation with expert organizations in the field of accessibility, including Theater met Tolk, Komt Het Zien and Onbeperkt Genieten. A number of tickets were made available to members of Quiet Eindhoven.

Why accessible theater is important
Accessibility in theater means that everyone can participate and enjoy, whether with physical support, sensory aids or low-incentive environments. Theater can connect, inspire and show that everyone belongs. With this Accessibility Week, we show that culture is for everyone and that small adjustments can make a big impact.
