Spanish choreographer Gustavo Ramírez Sansano tells the gripping story over de liefde and the destructive power of jealousy. The gentle soldier Don José falls like a log for the fiery Carmen, but she won't commit to one man. Introdans' entire tableau can be seen in this classic in a new look, with surprising twists. Everything is in black and white; from the Picasso-like scenery to the beautiful costumes. The cadence of the flamenco, paso doble and the emotions give this family performance extra schwung. After the great success of Carmen in 2022, Introdans repeats this evening-length performance.

An interactive experience for young and old! Introdans offers with the family performance Carmen prior to the performance and in the interval a special Experium in the foyer of the theater. An interactive experience for young and old, where you can use all your senses to experience Carmen even more intensely. Feel the costumes, make an Insta selfie in (digital) costume, listen to the music and get to know the personages. Dance your own duet on a dance carpet, create the set and play with the lighting design. In the intermission you will learn a short choreo and afterwards there will be a Meet & Greet with some of the dancers! Take a look-entry is free

Choreographer Gustavo Ramírez Sansano (1978, Spain) began his career as a dancer, including with the Nederlands Dans Theater, but has long past event a much sought-after dance maker. His tough and seductive version of Carmen has past event a worldwide success since its premiere in 2012. All over the world, many young hearts have already past event captured by this contemporary Carmen.maquia.
