Verbroedering

Roel and Jos are brothers. People often find that hard to believe because they are so different from each other. Known from the satirical VPRO TV program Plakshot , they are now going into the theater together for the first time with their cabaret show Verbroedering.

Verbroedering is a topical cabaret performance about democracy under attack, the climate going to shit and polarization that keeps rising. How do we solve these problems of today? With hope or with pessimism? With adaptation or with staying yourself? With a wink or with a quip? In short: with Roel or with Jos!

For seven seasons Roel and Jos have past event competing in Plakshot, now they are taking on each other in the theater. Roel is very much looking forward to it; Jos has never past event in the theater before and doubts whether it is a good idea.

This makes the Netherlands two iconic brothers richer. In 1672 the De Witt brothers were lynched, in 1990 the De Boer brothers won the Champions League and in 2004 the Ko brothers had a horn on their watercraft. Roel and Jos have neither a horn nor a watercraft, but now they have a full-length performance.
