In Op reis door een nieuwe wereld, the new geopolitical reality is given a human face. Based on encounters for their VPRO series, Terlou and Brandt Corstius tell the bigger story. They give us a glimpse into their lives as documentary makers and all the poignant moments and special events behind the scenes. What drives them to keep traveling?
We travel along the contours of a new world order, where the hegemony of the US has fallen away and where the vacuum is being filled by China and Russia. Where democracies are being replaced by autocracies. Where smaller countries like Taiwan and Ukraine risk losing out. And where Europe must find a new way in.
