The musical is based on a true and defining moment in Rob's life, in which he floats between dream and reality. Due to Parkinson's disease, he is capable of little. To cheer him up, Jet takes him back to his younger years and together they step into the Circus of his Memory. Accompanied by Sister Ursula and Malle Babbe, they meet his father and friends from the past, including Lennaert Nijgh and Eliane Kwee. Together they relive highs and lows of his rich and high-profile career. Winning his first talent show, an appearance in Voor De Vuist Weg with Willem Duys, the first hit Zachtjes tikt de regen, the great success of Banger Hart and much more.

And what about Rob's love life and the hundreds of affairs? Jet wants to get to the bottom of it. This produces recognizable, fragile but also humorous moments. A star cast brings the story and all the big hits to life in a beautiful setting with live orchestra.

Starring René van Kooten. Bas Ragas takes on the role of Rob de Nijs as an alternate about once a week. Lottie Hellingman and Maartje van de Wetering alternately play Jet de Nijs.
