Thuis

When their home disappears due to a storm, they have to look for a new house where they can feel at home again. During their search through the most diverse landscapes, they meet all kinds of animals. Could they live in one of their animal friends' homes? Thuis is an exciting, funny and touching performance full of movement, music and animation.

The performance Thuis is inspired by the personal story of maker Anastasiia Liubchenko. She left her home in Ukraine to look for a new home in the Netherlands.

About Mime Wave|
Having graduated in Kiev (Ukraine) in pantomime and directing for animation, Anastasiia enrolled in the mime program in Amsterdam. She has appeared in several children's productions and has also created four of her own performances for adults. In addition to theater, she also paints. This creative side is a permanent part of her theater performances. For example, the source of inspiration for Geel was the many shades of yellow that Van Gogh used in his paintings. Both her painting and theater styles are imaginative, humorous, and relatable. She also works with themes that are socially conscious and does not shy away from emotions.
