32/40 hours per week

Parktheater Eindhoven is one of the larger theaters in the Netherlands and, with a wide-ranging program of about 400 performances per theater season, attracts approximately 200,000 visitors annually from Eindhoven and the surrounding area. The Parktheater aims to be a theater for everyone and therefore offers a highly diverse program. We want to move our audience and foster meaningful encounters between theater artists and the public. The Team
To strengthen our facilities team, we are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on individual with technical insight. The Facilities team consists of three staff members and a team manager. Together, they are responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimal operation of the Parktheater. Each team member brings their own knowledge, interests, and qualities to the table, ranging from technology and systems to organization and customer service. The variety of tasks and responsibilities makes the team strong and resilient. In their day-to-day work, they work both independently and collaboratively on maintenance, troubleshooting, projects, and facilities support. The team manager is responsible for coordinating, guiding, and developing the team. The atmosphere is informal, collegial, and focused on collaboration. Together, they ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-functioning theater.

Profile
As a Facilities Management Assistant, you will work independently based on pre-established schedules or as requested. Within these parameters, you will have the autonomy to carry out assigned tasks, resolve malfunctions, and organize daily operations. You af with the Team Manager af technical or organizational issues of a more complex nature. In the event of an emergency, you will act in accordance with established protocols.
The Facilities Management Associate position is part of the Facilities Management department and reports to the Facilities Management Team Manager.

What will you be doing?

  • You will perform facilities management tasks, either independently or in collaboration with colleagues and external parties.
  • You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, performing repairs, and carrying out preventive maintenance. You will do this based on reports you receive from colleagues or a pre-established schedule.
  • In addition, you’ll ensure that colleagues have the necessary resources and materials for tasks such as setting up workspaces and ensuring the building’s accessibility
  • You will also monitor the work inventory, prepare orders, and handle the administrative processing of trouble tickets
  • In the event of an emergency, you will follow the emergency response plan, alert internal or external emergency services, and take measures to ensure the safety of colleagues and visitors.

What do we expect from you?
We’re looking for someone who enjoys doing just about anything. You feel responsible for the building and find satisfaction in addressing issues before anyone else notices them. You enjoy continuing to develop yourself, helping others, and
work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in the theater world is a plus but not required.

You have:

  • MBO-level work and thinking skills
  • Basic knowledge of building management, technical maintenance, and safety
  • Technical expertise to respond effectively to malfunctions and emergencies
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
  • Meticulous in performing tasks
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and external vendors
  • Flexible, proactive, and service-oriented work ethic

  • The Parktheater has its own terms of employment and is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
