Parktheater Eindhoven is one of the larger theaters in the Netherlands and reaches about 200,000 visitors annually from Eindhoven and surroundings with a broad programming of about 400 performances per theater season. Parktheater aims to be a theater for everyone and therefore has a very diverse programming. We want to touch the audience and contribute to beautiful encounters between theater makers and the public. The Parktheater is at the center of society and is involved in and initiates various social projects.
The Team
The Hospitality & Audience Services team is part of the Hospitality, Audience Services & Events department and consists of a department manager, team managers, bar managers, and, of course, a large team of hospitality staff and volunteers. During a theater evening, a bar manager is in charge of operations at restaurant BIJ13 and supervises the staff on the floor. Together, we create the best possible experience for our guests and ensure a positive work environment for everyone. To strengthen our hospitality team, we’re looking for a bar manager. It doesn’t matter to us what you believe in, who you love, or where you’re from. We’re most interested in how you want to use your talents for the Parktheater.
What will you be doing?
- You will ensure the smooth and error-free processing of orders and keep the bar, furniture, and associated areas in order
- You will ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations (such as HACCP) and take action in the event of deviations or problems
- You will also be responsible for managing the cash at your workstation and ensuring accurate financial processing
- In addition, you will ensure that tasks are distributed effectively and that colleagues perform their work correctly
- Leading in first aid/emergency response situations

- Operational knowledge of the hospitality industry, including all common tasks behind the bar

- A salary commensurate with the challenges of the position, age, and experience (scale 5), with a maximum of €3,650 on a full-time basis
- A part-time position for 24–32 hours
- A one-year contract with the possibility of extension
