The creators of theater hit Showmeister are back with a comedy about millennials; a generation that grew up promising there would never be war again.
While in the Netherlands the defense budget is increased from 2% to 5% and conscription is introduced, Wesley is in Ibiza making melodic techno in his zen villa. For fun, he writes a pacifist protest song - but it unintentionally goes viral - and he is bombarded as the voice of a generation.
Unhindered by any knowledge of issues, he joins all the Jineks and Jorts to talk about the complex flashpoints of our time. But his harsh statements and social media activism are not without consequences: his friends and family are beginning to dislike this new Wesley immensely.
As the world moves toward WWIII, Wesley must balance between his newfound ideals, his relationships and the increasingly compelling reality of a world in crisis.

Hulst & Tarenskeen
Hulst & Tarenskeen made the highly successful Showmeister in season 2023-2024, which received a shower of stars in the press followed by a sold-out tour, a place in the jury selection of the Dutch Theater Festival and a self-evident additional tour. Peace is the first part in the millennial series that Hulst & Tarenskeen will be making at Theater Oostpool in the coming years. By now they have built a tradition of performances in which the duo expose both themselves and their contemporaries as ruthlessly as they are funny.
