Life is full of noise. The overwhelming bustle of the city, a telephone that rings, a misleading message; noise can distract us from what is really important. How do we get to our true core in the midst of all the obligations and limitations of everyday life? How do we find harmony when we are surrounded by noise?
In And the Rest is Noise Fractal Collective and Justin de Jager work together with the Japanese artist Daijiro Hama. Together they investigate the ambiguity of noise: the contrast between silence and noise, between focus and distraction, between loyalty and letting go.
In an innovative soundscape with live painting, Fractal discovers the pure connection between sound, movement and monochrome (one-color) visuals. In this playing field the performers look for the pure connection that exists between them. The rest is just noise.

About Fractal Collective
Fractal Dance Collective is a collective of four like-minded urban creatives who have developed as autodidacts within street theater and breakdance. Their lifestyle on the street brought them together. Their work brought them into contact with renowned Dutch urban theater companies. The dancers of Fractal learned to recognize the theatrical value of their discipline and were able to translate their experiences from the urban scene into intimate theater performances.
