All around us, we see people doing cool things. We want to break through all these comfort zones by sharing with each other what young people create and do. And do so in a talk show.A few young people from Eindhoven - who sort of knew each other through acquaintances and met each other at CKE and Parktheater - thought it would be great to start a talk show. An entertaining, educational, and fun talk show. They put it together themselves so that it truly would be about what they find interesting. So they could gather super, talented people around them who could show or talk about 'their thing'.
Talk & Show
You see a stage, decorated with a "homey atmosphere". You talk to others about the things that occupy your mind - this time, it’s about "the fear of being forgotten." You talk to guests from the Eindhoven area who create cool things, such as a movie, a dance or cool music. Of course, the stage is not only there for talking; you will also hear live music, poetry and speech and see films.
Change makers are also invited, people who can really create change for young people in the Netherlands or Europe. For example, in this first edition, Leverne Nijman will come from the National Youth Council (NJR) that represents young people in the European Union. Unfortunately this guest is unable to attend. The replacement is Ryan Meyer, transgender, 18 years old, from Amsterdam. Last week, he attended a fashion show in Milan for the Valentino brand for the first time. You can hear his life story during the talk show.
So get out of your comfort zones together… Inspiration guaranteed! This is the first pilot edition! If you attend and give feedback, a fantastic show can be made once again in the future.
Want to participate?
What the hosts think is most cool is that ‘once @ our show’, you can join the next show as a host or guest, if you wish. Did you like the talk show, do you like to push boundaries, do you like to share or show your inspiring stories and adventures in the art and cultural scene? Join us, follow us – and get involved! Hi! I am Brit. I am 17 years old, and I am currently in my last year of secondary school. I am a true stage animal, and I love to get to know people from all over. I am enthusiastic, have broad interests, and if you can wake me up for anything, it is for a Fristi.
My name is Hidde Thijssen. I am 16 years old, and I have a huge passion for music and everything that has to do with the stage. I have been making music for as long as I can remember, and I have been appearing in the theater in plays for over ten years. I think it’s great to be able to share my passion with others.
I am Fabian Thomasita, a 17-year-old with frizzy hair who loves music and a bit of humor. I prefer to make it a party every day, both on stage as a DJ and entertainer, and off stage as a party animal and dancer. #partyanimal #happyvibes "There’s nothing better than a smile on the face!”
I am Lotte Hendrickx, 19 years old and my greatest passion is writing. Poetry has played a prominent role in my life for over ten years, and now, I would like to help show the power of words to many more young people.
I am Luna and at 19 (and a bit) the oldest of the group. I am a jack of all trades when it comes to art; I love theater, music, dance and linguistic art. Oldest of the group = / = the most serious and wise; if I can make someone laugh hard, I am happiest. I am also quite chaotic, which is something that must have been very amusing for the rest of the team during our meetings ;).
