In the performance Leaving Trumpland, Greg Shapiro says goodbye to the Trump voice he did in Zondag's Netherlands Second video in the Dutch television program Zondag met Lubach.

Leaving Trumpland is a mix of standup and cabaret, with a little bit of improvisation at the end when Trump gives his final press conference. Greg Shapiro explains, among other things, how he deals with Syrian refugees as neighbors, how he first taught his daughter to vote in the US elections and how he deals with friends who do not ahere to the corona measures because they are "covidiots." A personal touch is his story of the loss of his stepfather to corona after he was infected by Trump supporters.

The press about Leaving Trumpland: 'Razor-sharp humor with a personal touch' (Theaterparadijs.nl ★★★★) and 'Highly recommended to buy a ticket (...) and discover a comedian who is not only very funny, but who applies a unique perspective to provide insight into life on both sides of the ocean' (Arts Talk Magazine).

  • English and Dutch
  • Safe to the theater: view the corona measures for a safe and responsible theater visit.

'Shapiro's satire is sharp but never offensive, which makes it all the more convincing'
