Gif is about two people trying to live with 'what isn't there but should have been'. Ten years after the death of their child, a man and a woman meet again for the first time. Through a letter, they have been told that there will be a reburial because of poison in the soil. He has built a new life. She cannot bear the thought of a new life. During their few hours together, they assess each other, and it becomes clear how great the loss has poisoned both their lives. In an intense dialogue, they keep searching for that one word, that one movement in which the past can finally be laid to rest.
