Uit Het Hoofd is a performance about what seems to be the life of Loes Luca. Coincidentally, that same Loes Luca plays the actress who is recalling her life. She is assisted by a young actress who plays her prompter and is therefore called Oortje.

A child lives with her 22-year-old father 'must be dealt with' and her 19-year-old mother 'can do nothing about it' in the back room of her grandma’s home in post-war Rotterdam.

When the child was six weeks old, her father drew a mustache on her face, and that made the family laugh. The baby thought, oh, they're laughing. Then it is already determined. I'm going to be an artist. Well, here I go then.

In Uit Het Hoofd, an actress is definitely not seeking an answer to the question: who am I, but she gets that answer anyway.
