Language artist and author of bestsellers such as Taal is zeg maar echt mijn ding and En dan nog iets, Paulien Cornelisse is coming to the Parktheater with her new show.
We live in uncertain times, in which it is unclear when exactly those 'times' started. Paulien Cornelisse suspects 50,000 years ago, at three o'clock in the afternoon, because that is the most uncertain time of the day.
The best thing you can do, Paulien believes, is to accept, embrace, acknowledge, 'face' the uncertainty, and give it a place within your own world.
“You don't often know what to say until you've already said it,” someone has probably once said. Hopefully, even afterwards, it is still uncertain what was actually said.
Previous theater shows (including Om mij moverende redenen) received rave reviews:
“In her new show, Cornelisse, as usual, lets her pleasantly tilted gaze fall on everyday trivialities that can assume great proportions in her universe.” (Trouw ★★★★)
"In her naivety and clumsiness, she is a master storyteller with these seemingly banal subjects. She is unsurpassed when she plays with her specialty: the language and the fashionable words and concepts that plague Dutch." (Algemeen Dagblad ★★★★)
