In Achter de Duinen, through songs and speech, Jekkers talks about his youth in The Hague. About his Haguenese father who loved ADO, clover jackets and beer, and about his Hague mother who was more Hagenaer than Haguenese and who instilled in her son a love for the slightly more lofty things in life. But this performance will not get stuck in nostalgia about the safe fifties, the time when father still provided bread on the shelf that was then spread, topped and cut into four pieces by mother. The Hague that has changed over the years will also be discussed extensively. As will the island of Ibiza and the 'campo' where Jekkers lives.
