Operacursus De romantische opera’s van Wagner
Thu 26 Sep19:45 - 23:00Kleedkamer A7
Richard Wagner remains, as a person and as a musician, the subject of controversial and often emotional discussions. Adoration juxtaposed with absolute rejection. Was he a genius, a charlatan, a charmer, a sly fox, a creator of myths, a musical magician? His role as a music innovator, however, is indisputable. Wagner's Romantic operas are: Der fliegende Holländer (1843), Tannhäuser (1845) and Lohengrin (1850). These operas will be discussed in depth during this lecture series.
