A clash between cinematic storytelling and avant-garde street dance.

For years, the Dutch-Colombian filmmaker and designer Stephan Cornelio Velema was active as a breakdancer. Shortly after completing his education at the Design Academy however, he decided to devote himself entirely to film. How could he capture the tangible emotion and 'flow' from dance movement with the camera, combined with a sometimes abstract story?
For thinX, he investigates how he can further develop this style in the realm of stage and scenery, and discover where the boundary is between cinema and theater.
